The Education Trust and the Lexington Institute 

invite you to attend a policy briefing to discuss education policy issues, trends and developments related to the No Child Left Behind Act and the Elementary and Secondary Education Act. 

The briefing will be held on: 

Friday, September 21, 2007

3:00 PM – 5:00 PM

Topics to be discussed include:

  • Accountability and assessing student academic achievement;
  • English Language Learners – federal policies for fostering and measuring success;
  • The effects of state education policies on NCLB results;
  • Prioritizing school improvement and parental options.
Speakers will include education policy analysts Amy Wilkins, Vice President of the Education Trust and Don Soifer, Vice President of the Lexington Institute.

Refreshments will be provided.  The briefing will include a question-and-answer session.
