Don Soifer is Executive Vice President of the Lexington Institute, a nonpartisan think tank headquartered in Arlington, VA.
He has published research and articles on a wide range of U.S. domestic public-policy topics and runs the institute’s education program. Soifer has testified before the U.S. Congress and in official proceedings of several federal agencies and state legislatures. His work has been widely cited by policymakers and researchers and has been published in many of the nation’s most influential publications. Soifer appears frequently on national television and radio programs.
Soifer was appointed in 2008 to serve on the District of Columbia’s Public Charter School Board. The board is responsible for the oversight of 60 charter schools on over 90 campuses, serving over 26,000 students.
He is a 1990 graduate of Colgate University and lives in Washington, DC.
