The Lexington Institute is organizing a conference on "Fighters and the Future of Joint Warfighting" which will take place this Friday morning, January 28, 2005. The conference will be held on Capitol Hill from 9:30AM to 12:00PM, and is designed to concisely convey the implications of various choices bearing upon tactical-aircraft modernization. Confirmed speakers include:

Lieutenant General James F. Amos, Commanding General, II Marine Expeditionary Force

Lieutenant General John M. Curran, Director, Futures Center, U.S. Army TRADOC

Dr. Daniel Goure, Vice President, Lexington Institute

General Richard Hawley, USAF (Ret.), Former Commander, Air Combat Command

General John Jumper, Chief of Staff, U.S. Air Force

Admiral John B. Nathman, Vice Chief of Naval Operations

Dr. Michael E. O'Hanlon, Senior Fellow, Brookings Institution

Dr. Loren Thompson, Chief Operating Officer, Lexington Institute

The Honorable Dov Zakheim, former Comptroller, Department of Defense

The conference will focus on the next generation of fighters which will be multimission aircraft capable of accomplishing air dominance, precision strike, electronic attack, tactical reconnaissance and related missions.
