Monica Kern serves as Program Director for the Lexington Institute, a
public-policy think tank based in Arlington, Virginia.
Ms. Kern graduated from Sterling College in 1981 with a B.A. in Business and
Fine Arts. She completed her Masters in Non-Profit Management at Regis
University in Denver, Colorado, in 1997.
Prior to joining the staff of the Lexington Institute, she served as Events
Coordinator for the Denver Public Library. In this capacity Ms. Kern coordinated
special events and programs, managed 8,000 feet of event space, and had
oversight of department finances. Her professional experience also includes the
Denver Public Library Friends Foundation and the Women of the West Museum where
she worked in the area of fundraising, donor development and volunteer
management, and the First Presbyterian Church of Boulder, Colorado, where she
served as an administrative assistant.
