Announcing the Lexington Education Leadership Award (LELA) Fellowships Third Cohort
We are pleased to announce that applications are now open for the third class of Lexington Education Leadership Award (LELA) Fellows. Applications are online here and will remain open through April 10th.
The LELA fellowship remains the only national initiative designed specifically to support public school district leaders in whole-district personalized learning implementation. Fellows from our first and second cohorts included twenty superintendents and assistant superintendents from twelve states, selected from over 100 applicants.
We are proud to continue our partnership with Education Elements, one of the nation’s preeminent leaders in the design and implementation of personalized learning, in offering this fellowship. The Silicon Valley-based firm serves as the program’s exclusive technical assistance provider, including leading design workshops and professional development sessions with fellows and their district instructional teams.
Just as exciting is the continued involvement of our all-star roster of mentors — accomplished educators who have led some of the nation’s most successful personalized and blended learning programs.
Fellows in the 6-month LELA program will be exposed to different personalized learning models, provided with strategic resources and expert technical assistance, to support their district’s vision for personalizing teaching and learning. The program will include a special track at the Education Elements Personalized Learning Summit in San Francisco, a closing celebration dinner and awards ceremony in Washington, DC, and workshops in their districts with their instructional teams.
