Comments on AI Action Plan to the White House Office of Science and Technology Policy
The Lexington Institute has offered the following comments and recommendations on federal Artificial Intelligence (AI) Policy. This public filing follows a January 23 request in President Donald J. Trump’s an executive order requesting input from interested parties to help define the priority policy actions needed to sustain and enhance America’s AI dominance and to ensure that unnecessarily burdensome requirements do not hamper private sector AI innovation.
Our comments support the January 23 executive order and J.D. Vance’s February 11 speech at the AI Action Summit in Paris, France, outlining America’s vision and priorities on AI. In addition, the comments address the need for AI to be systemically used to identify and eliminate wasteful and unnecessary federal government expenditures. Indeed, AI must have a central role in getting America’s fiscal house in order.
