Sam Obitts, Program Manager

Sam Obitts is the Program Manager at the Lexington Institute. He organizes and coordinates working groups, conferences, and other events for stakeholders and policy experts with diverse viewpoints from throughout the Washington, D.C. region.  

In addition, Obitts conducts policy research, edits documents, and authors articles and issue briefs. He also manages office operations, including the operation of the website and social media platforms.

Obitts previously worked for the Clerk of the House in the Legislative Operations office in 2025. He also served as an intern in Representative Robert Aderholt’s Washington, D.C. office in 2023 and 2024.

Obitts received his Bachelor of Arts in Business Economics from Wheaton College in May 2025, where he competed on the men’s golf team for four years. He resides in Arlington, Virginia.
