Boeing operates the nation’s most diversified space enterprise, much of which is focused on defense and intelligence programs. At the moment, that segment of the marketplace is in ferment as contractors adjust to changing customer expectations. Under VP & General Manager Kay Sears, Boeing has evolved a dynamic strategy to stay ahead in national-security space that consists of five pillars: (1) speed, resilience and integration; (2) diverse satellites in diverse orbits; (3) multifaceted survivability; (4) hybrid military-commercial architecture; and (5) continuous adaptation.
