A Power Struggle Over The F-35 Fighter Jet Comes To A Head As Lawmaker Threatens To Hold Up Contract (From The Washington Post)
Loren Thompson was quoted a The Washington Post article detailing a House Armed Services Committee hearing on the Pentagon’s F-35 manufacturing program. The military has issues with the way that intellectual property is handled in the F-35 fighter program.
Citing his experience working for Lockheed Martin and other defense contractors, Thompson said: “The struggle over IP between the government and defense contractors is likely to go on indefinitely. If you own the information, you can largely shape the future of the system.”’
