Amazon, Microsoft Wage War Over The Pentagon’s ‘War Cloud’ (From Associated Press)
Lexington Institute’s Daniel Goure comments on the fight surrounding the Department of Defense’s Joint Enterprise Defense Infrastructure (JEDI) plan for Matt O’Brien’s Associated Press article. “This is not your grandfather’s internet,” said Goure. “You’re talking about a cloud where you can go from the Pentagon literally to the soldier on the battlefield carrying classified information.” The $10 billion contract for JEDI should be awarded by the end of the summer, if all goes as the Pentagon previously planned.
