Boeing Drops Out Of Massive Pentagon Nuclear Missile Program, Citing Unfair Competition (From The Washington Post)
In Aaron Gregg’s Washington Post article, Lexington Institute’s Loren Thompson comments on Boeing’s decision to withdraw from a Pentagon program to replace ground-based nuclear missiles. Thompson notes that Northrup Grumman, which remains the sole bidder, is “headed for a monopoly,” saying, “One company would have a monopoly on the nuclear deterrent. I just don’t see Congress being comfortable with that.”
