Election 2020: What Will The Presidential Race Mean For Wright-Patt? (From The Dayton Daily News)
Lexington’s Loren Thompson was quoted in the Dayton Daily News on a piece about the future of Wright-Patterson Air Force Base, should either Biden or Trump be elected in November. More than 30,000 military and civilian employees work directly at or for Wright-Patterson. Beyond them, the base is an economic engine for the region and much of the state.
Whoever wins, Thompson believed the base was safe from stringent budget alterations. “Wright Patterson will fare well under either Biden or Trump,” he said. “It is the nerve center of Air Force innovation and intelligence, and one of the largest employers in a critical swing state.”
