Germany To Buy F-35s, Upgrade Eurofighters In Blow To Boeing (From The St. Louis Post-Dispatch)
Lexington COO Loren Thompson was quoted in a piece by the St. Louis Post-Dispatch discussing Germany’s decision to purchase the cutting-edge F-35 fighter jet. Manufactured by Lockheed Martin, the F-35 seems poised to push out the Boeing-made Super Hornets and Growlers that Germany had previously relied on.
“It feels like the market for the Super Hornet is gradually eroding. That probably means Boeing will need Congress to keep the line viable,” said Thompson. “The strategy,” he added “is coming unraveled here.”
