Lockheed Gets New CEO In June (From Breaking Defense)

Lexington Chief Operating Officer Loren Thompson’s tribute to the career of Lockheed Martin CEO Marillyn Hewson, who announced she would be stepping down from her position, was quoted by Breaking Defense in their own piece about her legacy.

Breaking Defense quoted from Thompson’s March 16 piece in Forbes. “Marillyn has spent her entire adult life working for Lockheed Martin and its corporate antecedents. In the process, she has become the most powerful and respected executive in the defense sector,” Thompson wrote. “She will depart the company on a high note, with all of its business units performing well and its share price several times higher than it was when she became CEO. This is the way an executive wants to be remembered.”
