Nikki Haley Leaves Boeing’s Board In Protest Over Bailout (From Bloomberg News)
Lexington Chief Operating Officer Loren Thompson was quoted by Bloomberg News in their piece on Nikki Haley’s sudden departure from Boeing’s advisory board. Haley, who was formerly President Trump’s ambassador to the United Nations, left the board after less than a year, citing her inability to support a large-scale government bailout of the company during the coronavirus pandemic.
“Haley clearly doesn’t appreciate the gravity of the situation,” said Thompson. “This sounds like political posturing more than responsible director behavior. Perhaps Boeing can pick another board member with aerospace credentials.”
