Taxpayer Funds Come To The U.S. Postal Service’s Rescue (From Linn’s Stamp News)
Lexington’s Paul Steidler was quoted in a Linn’s Stamp News story regarding the U.S. Postal Service receiving $8.6 billion in taxpayer funds to offset losses from COVID-19. The Postal Service has only issued a two-sentence statement about this large amount of funding.
Troubled by the lack of an explanation, Steidler said that the Postal Service, “owes Congress … and the American public an explanation about this and large budgeted amounts in its recently announced 10-year strategic plan.”
