Amid the national controversy over the Postal Service and mail-in voting, The Washington Post quoted Lexington Senior Fellow Paul Steidler on the organization’s long-running troubles. Steidler told the paper that previous presidents and Congress had ignored these festering issues. He praised President Trump’s leadership in tackling USPS failures.
“The degree of intensity and focus on the Postal Service is something that hasn’t been seen in quite some time,” Steidler said. “To make a suggestion that no changes should take place and everybody should sit still until Election Day is wrong.”
