In a Morning Edition clip from NPR about Turkey aiming to buy both U.S. and Russian weapon systems, Lexington Institute’s Loren Thompson is featured. Asked about the potential of kicking Turkey out of the F-35 consortium, he expressed skepticism: “Turkey was on board the F-35 program from day one. And therefore, all of the program plans assume that it will continue to play its role going forward in the construction and the support of the aircraft.”
