In writing about Trump’s aim to expand missile defense, Robert J. Terry quotes Lexington Institute’s Loren Thompson. His statement highlights a concern for funding. “Proposing to spend more money on missile defense right after the Democrats have taken control of the U.S. House of Representatives is not optimal timing,” said Thompson. “The big question here is whether the Democrats will go along with it. And you may have noticed they have big differences on other issues.”
