Leidos CEO Roger Krone Looks Back On A Stellar Career, And Reflects On What He Has Learned (From Forbes)
Retiring Leidos CEO Roger Krone is the living embodiment of how the defense industry has changed since Cold War days. When he joined General Dynamics in 1978 as a fledgling aerospace engineer, using drawing boards and punch cards was commonplace. Today, the industry is very much driven by digital technology, and nowhere is that more true than at Leidos. During his nine-year tenure at the top, Krone has nearly tripled the company’s revenues and made it a leading provider of information services to the federal government. But to get to where he is today, Roger had to continuously adapt, and listen carefully to what his employees were telling him. Judging from the results, he has been highly successful. I have written a commentary for Forbes here.
