Mail-In Ballots: What Matters Most Tonight
The U.S. Postal Service reported that on November 2 it delivered 89.59% of ballots on time to election officials. These figures have been reported daily since October 24 to the U.S. District Court for the District of Columbia. Figures in the chart below for outstanding ballots come from the U.S. Elections Project with the University of Florida.

- Each of the above swing states requires that mail-in ballots be received today.

- Figures for outstanding ballots come from the U.S. Elections Project with the University of Florida. Wisconsin and Florida figures are from today, November 3. Figures for Arizona and Michigan are from November 2.
- Minnesota, also expected to be in contention, requires mail-in ballots by today. It does not specify, though, how many requested mail-in ballots have been returned.
