Steering the U.S. Ahead of China in AI and Tech (From FOX News)
The visit to Beijing by President Donald J. Trump put him together with China’s President Xi Jinping, allowing the U.S. side to read the Chinese leaders intentions. America brought a delegation of business leaders to make deals — like China’s order for 200 Boeing jetliners — and to make it clear that America will guard its economic lead. With anchor Charlie Hurt and the hosts of Fox and Friends, the discussion looked ahead.
“Most of all, President Trump has a plan, and that is to steer the U.S. ahead of China in the economic sphere, in AI, in tech,” noted Lexington VP Rebecca Grant. “And that’s why you see his pushback on things like Chinese spying, etc. He made some really pointed remarks about the importance of restoring chip building for AI in the U.S. You know, Taiwan’s TSMC is putting $165 billion into building factories here in the USA. So Trump knows that this China relationship is on a new level. He also came in with all the great flourish of American military power that was shown in our operations against Iran. Trump knows that it is the USA that’s ahead; he’s going to put the policies in place for our economic security, to reinforce our national security.
